AAHA Session to Highlight Galliprant for the Control of Pain and Inflammation Associated with Osteoarthritis in Dogs
LEAWOOD, Kan., March 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Aratana Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: PETX), a pet therapeutics company focused on the licensing, development and commercialization of innovative biopharmaceutical products for companion animals, today announced the Company plans to showcase Galliprant pivotal efficacy and safety data at the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) annual conference in Austin, Texas on Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 7:00 – 7:50 a.m. Lesley Rausch-Derra, DVM, MS, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Drug Development at Aratana Therapeutics, will present the pivotal data during the Sunrise Session for registered conference attendees. Galliprant was approved by the Food and Drug Administration's Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) on March 20, 2016 for the control of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs. The therapeutic is expected to be available to veterinarians in fall 2016.

GALLIPRANT® (grapiprant tablets) is for use in dogs only. Do not use in dogs younger than 9 months of age and less than 8 lbs (3.6 kg), dogs used for breeding, or in pregnant or lactating dogs. Adverse reactions in dogs may include mild gastrointestinal effects including, vomiting, diarrhea and decreased appetite. Should not be used in dogs that have a hypersensitivity to grapiprant.
